Congratulations to Dr. Antalis on his recent appointment to Composite Medical Board.
The Georgia Composite Medical Board voted yesterday during its June meeting to elect John S. Antalis, M.D., as its new chairperson through May 2017.
“I am truly humbled my colleagues have blessed me with the opportunity to lead this board,” Dr. Antalis said. “We are looking forward to building on the successes of the past year and taking this board to new heights.”
Dr. Antalis has been a practicing physician at Dalton Family Practice for almost 30 years. He is past-president of the Medical Association of Georgia and the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians. He was named Physician of the Year in 1996 and received the Joseph P. Bailey Distinguished Science award for Medical Services in 2013. He serves on the Medical Association of Georgia (MAG) Foundation, MAG Mutual Board, MAG Board and the Patient Safety Institute Board. Dr. Antalis earned a medical degree from St. George’s University.
